" i enjoyed this but the fact that i was almost near the end before the actual main thing 'happened' was annoying as this was referred to throughout the book. Had a modern feel and really felt I got to know the characters. Slightly dull but the ending was fairly good. " Found this story very slow, but I finished it in the end. An intriguing story built upon the relationship between three main characters, all the while centering around a few main aspects: Life choices, Love, & Loyalty. I enjoyed imagining how each character's accent would sound like throughout the book. " I originally chose this book b/c of its title and cover, it came across as interesting. It's almost as if she's applied a computer model to a Ruth Rendell/Barbara Vine novel and this is what's been generated: a mysterious, attractive and enigmatic young woman, a tragedy, eccentric characters who are not quite believable. I didn't really like the protagonist or find her believable. She's trying hard to emulate the form and style but it seemed like she was trying a bit too hard. " I can see why she is compared to Ruth Rendell. Overall Performance: Narration Rating: Story Rating:. ![]()
